AFCAT exam consists of 100 questions and time duration of 2 Hours is given to the candidates to solve these questions, each question is of 3 marks that means for every correct answer candidate gets three marks and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted under negative marking scheme. As per the last few years result the Cut Off was 143 Marks but it may vary time to time. For AFCAT 02/2013 it was 116 Marks.

General Awareness – Geography, Sports, History, Politics, Civics, Defence, Culture, Art, Basic Science, Current Affairs, Environment etc.

Verbal Ability in English – Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Comprehension, Antonyms, Synonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.

Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Profit & loss, Average, Simplification, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage and Simple interest.

Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Spatial Ability and Verbal Skills.
