Q.1. Am I eligible?

If you are (appearing 12th) or (passed out 12th standard) and your date of birth lies between (2nd January 2003 to 1st January 2006) then you can apply for the examination.
Q.2. I am 19 years of age but I am still not eligible? Why?
Answer: The upper limit is 19.5 years and this is the upper limit at the time of joining and not the age limit for filling the form.
Q.3. Which site to go onto fill the form?
Answer: Go onto the website upsconline.nic.in and click on the first entry and you will be redirected to page where you can find and fill the NDA Form.
The NDA Form Filling or NDA/NA Form Filling will include Part I and Part II registration.

Answer: There are two parts namely Part I and Part II for the NDA Form
Part I registration includes 1. Personal Details 2. Caste certificate 3. Educational Qualification 4. Address related details
Part II registration includes: 1. Payment 2. Documents uploading 3. Center selection
Q.5. What caste to select?
Answer: This section in the NDA Form is useful for verifying and waiving your fees which is Rs.100 per candidate.
If you belong to General or Open Caste no waiver will be applied in the NDA Form
If you belong to OBC they will ask you whether you belong to Creamy Layer or not and later they will ask you for Certificate Number, Certificate Issuing Date and Certificate Issuing Authority
They will ask similar details for SC and ST caste category in the NDA Form
Q.6. What qualification to choose?
Answer:
For filling the NDA Form you have the following options
If you have passed out 12th standard from Commerce or Arts select Option 1
If you have passed out 12th standard from Science then select Option 2
If you are appearing 12th standard from Commerce or Arts select Option 3
If you are appearing 12th standard from Science select Option 4
Q.7. What fields are compulsory to fill in the NDA Form?
Answer: All the fields in the NDA Form with ‘ * ‘ are to be filled mandatory.
In Part I Local Area Phone Number and Alternative Email is not mandatory.
Q.8. What preference to select for Army, Navy, Airforce and Naval Academy in the NDA Form?
Answer: Based on which entry you want to apply for you can give preference to Army, Navy, Airforce and Naval Academy as 1, 2, 3 or 4 in the box in font of the entry and in front of an entry where you don’t want to give it preference mark it as 0(zero) in your NDA Form.
Q.9. What is the difference between the Indian Naval Academy and Naval Academy?
Answer: If you choose Indian Naval Academy (INA) you will undergo training at NDA Pune for 3 years and then you go for final year training at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Whereas if you select Naval Academy (NA) then you go directly at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala for 4 years of training.
Q.10. What to answer for PABT and CPSS?
Answer: If you give preference number to Airforce other than 0(zero) in your NDA Form you will have to fill this one.
If you enter 0 in front of Airforce you will not have to fill anything for PABT and CPSS.
If you are applying as a fresher you have to select NO.
If you are repeater enter information accordingly.
Q.11. Do we need an SBI card to fill the NDA Form?
Answer: The most convenient way to make a payment during the situation of pandemic is using any bank card. All sorts of cards (credit/debit) are accepted and it is not mandatory to have a SBI card to make payment.
Q.12. Which center to select?
Answer: Select any exam center which is closest to you. Filling the form at the earliest is required to get an exam center close to your residing location, especially for large cities.
Q.13. What documents do I require for NDA Form filling?
Answer:
1. Aadhar Card
2. Caste certificate
3. Photo
4. Signature
Q.14. How to upload photos and signature Resizing same side address and Photo?
Answer: Images should be resized using the software paint. Right-click on the image and Open with Paint, then crop the essential part of the image and then click on resize and select the pixels options, then use the dimensions given below and resize accordingly.
